dreamerGarrett Coleman spent most of his adolescence crushing on Finn Sweeney—until that Ultimate Dream Guy image got obliterated during senior year. Garrett’s since gone out of his way to avoid the sexy ginger, instead throwing his energy behind his dance career while supporting his mother through her cancer diagnosis.

Finn Sweeney used to think of Garrett as just his kid brother’s best friend, but after an intense exchange at a high school party, things got a little…weird. Despite that, when their two families decide to get together for the holidays for the first time in years, Finn can’t say no. But he’s fully prepared for this to be awkward as hell.

When Finn and Garrett lay eyes on each other for the first time in their adult lives, all bets are off. Finn is completely captivated by Garrett and getting to know the man he’s become is now his top priority. Playing catch-up with Finn makes Garrett truly see him beyond the childhood fantasy he’s held onto all these years. Finn is real and vulnerable…and hot as hell.

Garrett and Finn can’t seem to keep their hands off each other, so they decide to bury the hatchet between them for the remainder of the visit.

After all, it’s only a holiday fling.

Until it becomes something more.

A beautiful dreamer – a beautiful love story!

I’m a sucker for best friend’s brother romances, so when I found out that’s what this one was, I had to read it. Plus I’m a big fan of Christina’s books!

Ahh, this is such a beautiful story of love and not just between Garrett & Finn, but other members of their families. I especially loved their story though. Loved how they learned to see each other as adults after their shared youth, how they learned to forgive each other & how they learned to be vulnerable with each other so love could turn from a dream to reality.

Filled with family, food and seasonal traditions this one will be added to my annual Christmas reads!

chaserCaden DeSarro is what they call a chubby chaser. He likes his guys with a few extra pounds on them. So when he meets Kevin Dodge in a bar bathroom, he can’t help but stare, even if he does make an ass of himself. As far as Caden is concerned, Kevin is physically perfect: a stocky bearded blond with a dick that’s just right. (They met in the bathroom—of course he looked!) But Caden gets tongue-tied and misses his chance.

When Caden runs into Kevin one night on the El train, he figures it’s fate offering him a second shot. Caden manages to get invited back to Kevin’s place for a one-night stand that turns into the kind of relationship he’s dreamed about.

But the course of true love never did run smooth, and Kevin and Caden’s romance is no exception. When Caden returns from a few weeks away on business, Kevin surprises him with a new and “improved” body—one that fits Caden’s shallow friend Bobby’s ideal, not Caden’s. Caden doesn’t know what to do, and his hesitation is just the opportunity Bobby was looking for. This isn’t the same Kevin he fell in love with… is it?

aa7e2-fullsizeoutput_622This book had me at the title! I love the take on a guy being interested in another simply because of the way he looks but not because of his washboard abs!

I can see why this book has readers divided, but I have to say I loved this story. Was it infuriating? Yes. Did I want to slap Bobby? Hell, yes. But it was a real life, messy tale of trying to find love for Caden & Kevin that kept me turning the pages as fast as I could.

For the most part, I understood what drove Bobby to his actions but couldn’t forgive him and wouldn’t call his actions those of a true friend. The book ended a little abruptly for my liking but with a definite HFN. And yes I can’t wait to read the second book in this series to see if Bobby will see the error of his ways and find true love.

I’d recommend this book but be warned it might not be what you expect or perhaps even want!

stuck with youTwo clashing colleagues stuck together for Christmas–will opposites eventually attract?

Patrick has been single since he broke up with his cheating ex almost a year ago. With Christmas looming, he’s resigned to spending it alone with only memories of happier times for company. When a business trip with a co-worker leaves them stranded in the Lake District due to heavy snow, it seems Patrick will have company for Christmas after all. It’s a shame his companion is Kyle, who’s undeniably attractive, but annoying as hell.

Aware of Patrick’s reluctant admiration, Kyle basks in the attention even though Patrick isn’t the type of man he normally goes for. Averse to relationships after being hurt in the past, Kyle enjoys the occasional hook up, but has given up on seeking anything more meaningful.

Stuck together, their antagonism escalates along with a heavy dose of sexual tension until it finally ignites. What starts as a Christmas fling soon feels like something special; but will their tentative connection melt away as the snow thaws? If they’re going to take a chance on finding happiness together, they’ll have to put their differences aside and learn to trust one another.

Contains: enemies-to-lovers, snowball fights, bickering, spanking, a cute dog, a wise old lady, mistletoe, and a happy ending (of course).

aa7e2-fullsizeoutput_622Work colleagues who can barely tolerate each other. Forced proximity due to a snow storm. Christmas spent in a remote romantic setting. Mistletoe, a cute dog & one wise old lady. Contains every ingredient for a fantastic holiday story!

Bratty Kyle is just asking for a good spanking. Patrick – his mentor at work & several years older than him – may just be the man to give Kyle what he deserves.

Kyle’s car breaks down while the two of them are in a remote part of the Lake District, he’s not dressed for snow & his bratty attitude is more of a defence mechanism, which Patrick soon finds out.

I love Jay’s Christmas reads (& all his others!), but this one might be my favourite! The bickering between the pair is funny & you can feel the sexual tension between them wafting off your e-reader! And exploring a mutual kink together without judgement – loved it! If you’re looking for a snowy holiday read, then I would definitely recommend this one!

Brian
You’ll make it out of here, Brian. I swear.
I had everything—school quarterback, popular with girls, and my dad was proud of me. I told myself it didn’t matter no one knew the real me. And then I nearly died. Landon saved my life. He’s the bravest guy I know. He came out a few years ago, proud and fierce, and he ran into gunfire to help others. Me, I’m a mess. Can’t even stand to be in a room with the curtains open. But here’s the thing about losing it all: You get a chance to start over and be someone new. Only how can I move on when the two shooters who attacked our school were never caught? And why do I feel like I’m still in the crosshairs?

Landon
Will you kiss me?
When I came across Brian Marshall, the hottest guy in school, dying on the cafeteria floor, I did what anyone would do. I tried to save him. His request surprised me, but I figured he needed comfort, so I kissed him on the forehead. When he survived and came back to school, he was broken in body and mind. He still needed me, and soon we were unlikely besties. But what I saw at school that day woke me up. I want to demand action on gun control, lead protests, raise my fist. I’ll tear the world down if I have to. And if I can get the man of my dreams and save the world at the same time? I’ll take it. Only I didn’t understand that the horror at Jefferson Waller High wasn’t over.

aa7e2-fullsizeoutput_622Normally when I hear there’s a new release from Eli Easton I’d read it straight away. When I heard about this story, I knew I wanted to read it yet hesitated once it was released.

Knowing that real life shootings in schools inspired this book I thought it might be too emotional, harrowing, or damn right angering. It is, at times, all of those things wrapped up in an exceptionally well-written story. I struggled to read some parts of this book and found myself often stopping to stare off into space so I can only imagine how difficult this story was to write.

The tragic, pointless loss of life – lives not yet even lived – and what happened to Brian and Landon was heartbreaking, but their reactions are inspiring.

“Jake is dead, and I found you. It’s not fair.”

“That’s the way it works though, isn’t it?” I said, flying by pure instinct. “When something awful happens there has to be a rebound, a silver lining, some good that comes out of it. Otherwise the whole human race would just give up in despair.”

The story does focus on how Landon and Brian each deal with the aftermath in their own way, yet the connection they forged in the face of death helps them through it all and find a way to be their true selves together.

The ending of the story was satisfying if not a little hard to believe. I’m a huge fan of Eli’s writing and would happily recommend this and any of her books if you haven’t tried one yet.

what remains

WINNER: Bisexual Book Awards 2016 — Best Romance

Web designer Jodi Peters is a solitary creature. Lunch twice a week with his ex-girlfriend-turned-BFF and the occasional messy venture to a dodgy gay bar is all the company he needs, right?

Then one night he stumbles across newly divorced firefighter Rupert O’Neil. Rupert is lost and lonely, but just about the sweetest bloke Jodi has ever known. Add in the heady current between them, and Jodi can’t help falling hard in love. He offers Rupert a home within the walls of his cosy Tottenham flat—a sanctuary to nurture their own brand of family—and for four blissful years, life is never sweeter.

Until a cruel twist of fate snatches it all away. A moment of distraction leaves Jodi fighting for a life he can’t remember and shatters Rupert’s heart. Jodi doesn’t know him—or want to. With little left of the man he adores, Rupert must cling to what remains of his shaky faith and pray that Jodi can learn to love him again.

aa7e2-fullsizeoutput_622I’m not usually a big fan of stories that are told using flashbacks but I love Garrett’s writing style, and this aspect of the story was done so well. A beautiful balance of the terrible reality of the present these two find themselves in mixed with the sweet flashbacks of how Jodi and Rupert met and got to know each other.

Garrett’s books are always angsty, but this one really got to me. At times I wanted to yell at both characters, but their journey was a hard path to walk that tugged at my heartstrings. It’s an award-winning book for a reason. A fantastic story that has left me with a huge book hangover.

452DD9B0-F4BB-4ACD-ACD8-3BA9BAC5C36BUp in the Alps, a single night can change your life.

Struggling college student and self-taught graphic artist Justin Bennet isn’t the most self-confident guy, but he knows he’s good at two things: snowboarding and sex. Why does Andi, the hot instructor at the Tyrolean ski resort, pretend Justin doesn’t exist?
Justin becomes all but obsessed with the idea of scoring with the young Austrian. Because for all the man’s reserve, he made it quite obvious he likes Justin—at least from the neck down.
When Justin books a private heliboarding trip with Andi as his guide, he thinks he’s one step away from striking gold.
But then the forces of nature take over, trapping the men in a snowstorm, and things get real. What was supposed to be about some freeriding fun and inviting a closeted guy to start exploring his options suddenly becomes about survival—and the hidden truths of the soul.

World of Love: Stories of romance that span every corner of the globe.

aa7e2-fullsizeoutput_622A story of two halves. I loved the setting and all the Austrian references that made me feel like I could be there on the mountainside with Justin and Andi. But then there’s Justin who for most of the story I just didn’t connect with. He comes across as spoiled and rather than flirting with Andi stalks him to borderline obsession, ‘“Why should I?” Carl scoffs. “Because he’s been ignoring you for five days straight?” “And even ran from you one time?” Jay supplies, forever helpful.’ Yet he also has a sweet side when it comes to his friends, “Yeah, about half of Jaymer’s followership is me.”

But then something happens between them up on the mountain and we finally get to hear Andi’s side of the story & Justin realises how badly he behaved and the dire consequences his actions have landed them in. From slightly annoying to sweet and by the end of the story I was rooting for them to get together. A quick read that leaves you with a satisfyingly happy ending.
