Blurb

After Detective Jack Beckam’s partner is killed during the line of duty, Jack retreats to a small Indian casino in the Colorado mountains to deal with his guilt. There, he encounters the mysteriously hostile casino manager, Taylor Brant.

Jack is on a downward spiral. Unfortunately for him, the strange forest surrounding the casino only increases his desire to do something reckless. Something desperate. Taylor Brant is not only dangerous, he’s damaged. He’s someone Jack should steer clear of. Yet Jack, hurting and needing to pay penance, tumbles into a series of dark, highly charged encounters with Brant which threaten to shatter them both.

Excerpt

Amusement briefly lit Brant’s gray gaze. “You’re an interesting man, Jack. Under other circumstances I’d enjoy feeling you out.”

“I thought you hate cops. Sounds to me like you’re flirting with one.”

He was immediately embarrassed for having said it. Taylor Brant was one of the most attractive men he’d ever seen, much less had dinner with—but Jack recognized the nugget of fear rolling around in his own gut. He was in foreign territory, literally and figuratively. All his experience as a detective, all his street smarts, meant next to nothing when it came to his occasional and unwanted attraction to specific men. It was like a flare-up of a rash—unpredictable, unwelcome, and woefully incurable.

“I’d be reckless, wouldn’t I,” Brant said, “to flirt with a detective?” Brant’s gaze grew intent. “I’m not reckless.”

“Sounds to me like you’re a masochist.”

“Would it take one to know one?”

The restaurant was emptying out. Jack wished it were busier. Louder. He wished that the waiter was intrusive. He could feel himself sweating and felt ridiculous; he was only sitting there eating dinner.

Brant didn’t appear to be all that relaxed, either. The casino manager was tense. Nervous. Jack was too experienced in studying people to miss the signs. Was Brant regretting his boldness? Maybe they were both stumbling around in the dark in their own ways. It was strange to look at Taylor Brant and consider him anything other than one hundred percent sure of himself.

Or was it? He was well groomed and sophisticated, yet the broken nose hinted at his past experience with abuse. The book, too, suggested deep waters and a hint of vulnerability.

But Jack wasn’t completely sold on Brant being a man you could easily take advantage of. Maybe back then, back when Brant had dated those cops, he had been a man like that. But not any longer. The man sitting across from Jack had been honed by pain, anger, and disappointment. Brant had gone through hell and come out the other side as a more powerful man. It was there in those steely eyes, a hint of the danger he presented: he needed to control every situation he entered because he would never allow himself to be at anyone’s mercy again. He was using his fear to become something—someone—unbreakable.

Jack’s cock pulsed at the prospect of being under Brant’s control, even for an hour. It wasn’t something he’d ever experienced, and the fantasy of it was probably better than the reality. Hell, he didn’t know how he’d react to someone attempting to take the upper hand with him. There was a good chance he’d throw a punch.

escapingTheir ocean journey was successful, and Andrew and Edmund found an Elder just in time. As they wished, Edmund is now a vampire like Andrew. They have eternity together, but first, they must visit Edmund’s ailing mother in the English countryside with their flock of immortals, including the Elder, who has taken an ominous liking to his new creation.

When they arrive at Edmund’s family estate, his sick mother and her loathsome best friend await them. While ducking religious curses, Edmund struggles to harness an unexpected power gifted him by the Elder. Andrew fears for his beloved as Edmund becomes more and more monstrous—but vampires have always been monsters, haven’t they?

A battle is coming, for Edmund’s heart and his soul, and Andrew will lose neither. He escaped island exile and a near tragedy at sea to be with Edmund, the beautiful young sailor he loves. Andrew will do anything to keep Edmund by his side, but his most dangerous adversary may be Edmund himself.

Preorder at Amazon US | Amazon UK

aa7e2-fullsizeoutput_622The story picks up from the second book where Edmund and Andrew were searching for an elder, so if you haven’t read the first books you definitely need to read those first.

Escaping Mortality takes us to London in the final instalment of this dark vampire tale. Edmund and Andrew’s relationship takes another turn, but the love between these two is evident, and I loved the epilogue – just perfect for them.

If you’re a fan of vampire tales with a bit of a twist and a little on the darker side I would definitely recommend this trilogy. Escaping Mortality releases on January 28th or you can pre-order you copy now.

“Sexy, sensitive, smart, and thoroughly researched, Annabeth Albert’s gay romances have rocketed to the top of my to-be-read pile. I’ve fallen as hard for her books as her heroes fall for each other.”

-Christopher Rice, New York Times Bestselling author of A DENSITY OF SOULS and the Burning Girl Series

“Rough Terrain was a delicious blend of cool Navy SEAL and sweet former drummer with a sprinkle of some of my favorite flavors like “fake boyfriend” and “trapped in a storm” mixed in. This story was both healing and heartwrenching in the very best ways. A strong finish to a definite auto-buy series. Strong recommend!”

Synopsis

The camping trip from hell may be the first stop on the road to happily-ever-after in Rough Terrain, the final book in Annabeth Albert’s critically acclaimed, fan-favorite Out of Uniform series.

Navy SEAL Renzo Bianchi has a soft spot for Canaan Finley, and not only because the man makes a mean smoothie. He’s the first guy to get Renzo’s motor revving in a long time. But when he agrees to Canaan’s insane charade—one all-access fake boyfriend, coming right up—he never expects more than a fling.

Creating a hot Italian SEAL boyfriend to save face seemed like a good idea…until his friends called Canaan’s bluff. Now he’s setting off into the woods with the very man who inspired his deception, and Canaan is not the outdoorsy type. The sparks are already flying when a flash flood separates them from their group, leaving Renzo and Canaan very much trapped…very much alone in the wilderness.

Working together to come up with a plan for survival is sexier than either of them expects. But back in the real world, being a couple is bringing its own set of hazards…

Exclusive excerpt

And as he watched him sleep, it hit Canaan that while he was on this weird adrenaline high, Renzo did this every day. Every day for days on end he confronted danger, high risks, threat of death, and he had a whole team of people counting on him the entire time too. While Canaan had been busy freaking out, he’d worried a lot about himself, about Grandpa, about what he’d miss out on. And he’d worried some about what he and Renzo could have had, especially when Renzo had been threatening to go out on his own.

But Renzo had neither freaked out nor focused on himself—the whole time, he’d been worried about Canaan. Keeping him warm. Making the alarms to drink and eat. Making sure Canaan had first choice of food. Coming up with plans to keep them safe and ensure the rescuers spotted them. Damn. It was humbling to think of all Renzo had done for him.And now Renzo was exhausted. Spent. Energy reserves clearly gone.

And yet, he would do something like this again, soon probably. With better equipment and better teammates, but he’d face danger again, head on. Because that was what he did. Who he was. His moral fabric was made of camo—tough as ripstop, unwavering and unyielding. Maybe Renzo had joined up because of his brother originally, but he hadn’t been lying about finding himself on the teams. And who he’d found there was possibly the best man Canaan had ever met. His throat ached just looking at Renzo, hands tightly clenching to stop from touching him.

“I’m going to take better care of you,” he whispered softly. “You took care of me, so maybe it’s time someone took care of you like you deserve. How about me?”

Renzo, of course, slumbered on, but something inside Canaan shifted. Changed. Accepted this new reality in front of him where this sleeping giant was suddenly the most important person in Canaan’s life.

Review

I think I say this about every Annabeth Albert book I read, but this may be my favourite, especially as it is the last in this epic series! I’m totally heartbroken this series is over & Canaan & Renzo have left me with a huge book hangover.

Rough Terrain is such an apt title for this book both literally & figuratively as the pair navigate their way together over some rocky ground. Annabeth has done what she does best – written the characters into a situation that seems impossible for them to work their way out of and throws all the feels at the reader. But of course, you can trust the author will leave the characters with a HEA and the reader with a smile on their face. Can’t recommend this book or author enough!

Excerpt

“Can I do anything to help?” I asked, setting my backpack on one of the two barstools at the narrow counter space.

“Nope. As soon as the veggies are sautéed, we’ll be ready to eat. Want something to drink?”

“Yes, please. Water is fine. Where’s Buttons?”

Rory pulled a water bottle from the small fridge behind him and handed it over, then pointed at a basket next to the sofa.

“She’s hiding behind that basket. She’ll make an appearance if she decides you’re worthy. In the meantime, there’s bread in that basket on the counter next to your bag. Help yourself. I’ll bring dinner out.”

I thanked him, then twisted the cap from the water bottle and took a generous sip before rounding the corner in search of the bread. I was ravenous. I bit into the baguette with gusto before turning to check out my surroundings.

Rory’s apartment was tiny. Probably half the size of mine and much older. But unlike the rough exterior, it was…pleasant. Surprisingly so. A short wall delineated the narrow kitchen from the main living area. There was just enough room for a sofa, an ottoman, a TV console, and a smallish television. Two barstools were tucked under the small peninsula by the cut-out in the kitchen wall. The palette was basic “dude”…dark leather against stark white walls, though a large red throw rug anchored the room and provided a nice splash of color. It was simple—but tidy and very clean.

“Your place is cool,” I commented when he entered the room, carrying two plates and a large bowl.

“Thanks. Let’s sit on the sofa. We have more room to eat there,” he said decisively as he set his burden on the coffee table. “Help yourself. I’ll get some forks, napkins, and extra veggies.”

I obeyed and quickly got to work, scooping chicken fettucine Alfredo onto both plates. Rory joined me a minute later, handing over the silverware before taking a seat next to me. I shot a bashful sideways glance at him as I reached for a napkin.

“Do you eat like this every night?”

“It’s really nothing special. I make sauces in bulk and freeze them. Then it’s just a matter of adding protein and veggies. By the way, this Alfredo is a healthy version. If you want to drown it in parmesan, feel free. I won’t be offended. Cheers.” He tapped his water bottle against mine and winked.

“Cheers. And thanks again. This is incredible and very unexpected.” I smiled as I twisted the pasta around my fork.

“You’re welcome. You sounded anxious, but you said we’re cool. Are we?”

“Of course.”

Rory tilted his head and shot me a challenging look. “Then kiss me.”

“Um…now?”

“Yeah, now. The other night could have been a fluke. Instead of wondering, let’s get it over with. One kiss should be enough to tell. C’mere,” he commanded, leaning sideways.

I set my fork down and met him halfway until our noses brushed. Then I waited for him to make the next move. He stayed stubbornly still. When I couldn’t stand the growing tension, I pressed my lips to his. And wow…amazing.

Rory was a great kisser. He had the simple art of give-and-take down to a science. He molded his mouth to mine and gently pushed his tongue inside. The connection was sweet but bold. It was more about discovery than possession. I hummed as I snaked my arm around his neck, pulling him closer. He sucked my tongue, then bit my bottom lip playfully before pulling back.

“Definitely not a fluke,” he said with a devilish grin.

theo's game

Theo Coleman wants nothing more than someone to love him. But at only twenty-three, life has taught him he doesn’t deserve it and he’s had more than his fair share of being abandoned. When a run-in with an ex gets out of control, Theo finds himself face to face with a dominant older man who seems determined to save Theo from himself.

Officer Dan Jenkins has tried to leave the life he craves behind. No more clubs, no more kink and no more boys. When he intervenes in an argument outside a nightclub, he meets a boy that re-awakens that desire within him. All Dan wants is to care for someone, adore them and give them what they need. And Dan is convinced that Theo needs a Daddy.

When a chance encounter leads Theo to Dan, both men know they want to take a chance on each other. But when Dan discloses his kinky secret, Theo’s not sure whether he’s ready to play. Suddenly everything seems like a game, one where Theo doesn’t know the rules but he desperately wants to win the prize. Because Theo’s tired of losing and this time he wants to win. Can he put his past behind him to win Dan’s heart?

Theo’s Game is the first book in the Dark Reserves series. It’s a sweet and fluffy, Daddy kink MM romance featuring one sexy police officer, his feisty boy, rainbow sprinkles and handcuffs.

aa7e2-fullsizeoutput_622

A new author to me and a fantastic debut book.

I loved Theo & Dan’s meet-cute which set up the story nicely to show how sassy yet submissive Theo is. A kink read on the lighter, fluffier side but still deals with some serious issues. A story of Theo’s journey exploring the world of daddy kink with Dan who would love to be Theo’s daddy. To care for him. To protect him. To be everything Theo has ever wanted but never knew.

If you like a bit of kink in your reads, I’d definitely recommend this book. Can’t wait for the second in the series to be released!

Excerpt

Austin

I was seven when my dad left for work in the morning and never came back. My sister Julie was six.

It was a bad year, the first truly awful year. Not that the years before had been ideal, with my parents snapping at each other over each little affront, but at least they’d both been part of my life. And with either parent alone, I’d felt like a normal kid. It wasn’t entirely self-deceptive—it was all I knew.

But the day my dad pushed my mom against the wall, cocking back one huge fist to strike her, I ran to push myself between them.

“No, Dad, don’t!” I’d cried.

He’d looked at me, lowered his fist, and never spoke another word to me.

In the morning, he was gone.

At first, the dad-sized hole inside me seemed about to swallow me up. I was sure I’d die like the baby bird I’d found in the yard early that spring. I’d given it water and worms in a shoebox with crumpled toilet paper for warmth, but it wouldn’t eat or drink and grew steadily weaker. When it quit moving altogether, my mother stroked my hair, soothing me in a whisper.

“Its tiny heart quit beating, Tintin. Baby birds are too small to survive without their parents. But you gave it the best care you could. Its death isn’t your fault.”

I buried the bird in the back corner of our Mountlake Terrace yard without fanfare, digging its grave in the frozen ground with icy fingers that held a bent teaspoon. Despite my mother’s insistence that I wasn’t to blame, I knew the truth. I’d failed the bird just as I had failed my father.

RELEASE BLITZ SCHEDULE

Review

As soon as I read the blurb I wanted to read this story. It has everything for all the feels – hurt/comfort trope, a marine with PTSD suffering from an abusive childhood. It’s a real slow burn of a story so if that’s not your thing then maybe give this one a miss. For me, I couldn’t get over the writing style which read more like a romanticised journal and I struggled with it to be honest. I think this book just didn’t appeal to my tastes so I’d urge you to give it a go if you don’t mind this style of writing.

Excerpt

Another glance up at the clock showed 8:01 p.m. One minute since I last checked. I had no idea what time this thing started, but if I went now, I could meet Alex while it might not be too busy, then pull a Cinderella before the chaos of the countdown and the awkwardness of watching people try to find someone to kiss while I stood on my own.

I patted my pockets for the third time, checking for my cell, wallet, and key, and with no other excuse to stall, headed out.

A huge tent had been set up outside the café with another bar and was already half-filled with people milling around, drinks in hands. I could do this. Make small talk and whatever. Just had to find people who spoke English.

I’d been standing on the sidewalk just staring when Alex wound his way through the crowd and waved me over. My hands unclenched at the sight of him like some dark angel. Short black hair spiked up on top. Plain black button-down shirt that had to be a couple of sizes too small from the way it stretched across his chest, highlighting every curve and dip of his body. Black trousers that did nothing to hide the bulge of his crotch, and I swallowed, trying to get my dry throat to work. What the hell was I doing there? A hookup wasn’t a great idea. There was nothing wrong with looking, though, right? And an added bonus to find out my libido was still alive.

“Hey. You made it.”

The grin splitting his face made me think he was happy I’d shown up, and I held out my hands. “Yep. Here I am.” Yep. Sounding like a total dork. His gaze slowly worked down my body, and all other thoughts fled. Okay, even I couldn’t miss his reaction. And yeah, I wrote stories for a living, but there wasn’t anything imaginary in that look.

“Yes. Here you are.” He slung an arm around my shoulder and dragged me farther into the tent. “Come on. I’ll get you a drink, then introduce you to a few guys.”

I let myself be swept along by the force that was Alex. Even though I didn’t know him well, his presence soothed my nervousness. Like I wasn’t completely alone in a land that was foreign and strange.

About the author

fullsizeoutput_628Beth Laycock’s books are influenced by her time living overseas as well as the gritty, urban landscape of the north of England where she grew up. She has been reading romance since she was old enough to tell herself that line every book lover does—just one more chapter.

As a teenager, she attempted to write her first novel, and many more since then are still gathering dust on her bookshelf. It wasn’t until she discovered the M/M genre that her muse showed up and refused to quit telling her stories about beautiful men finding love together. She hasn’t stopped scribbling them down since. Beth’s muse usually shows up when she is in the shower, is allergic to cleaning, rarely lets her watch TV, and insists she drinks copious amounts of coffee so she can turn caffeine into words.

When not writing or reading, Beth can be found procrastinating on social media or being dragged around the English countryside by her dog Freddie.

He is…

half my age,

my son’s friend,

and he calls me Daddy.

I brought him to his knees until he did the same to me.

“He was like a greedy little puppy, trying to please me. And goddamn, I needed him to need me.”

A May/December Second Chance Romance with a sprinkle of Daddy Kink. After their first encounter in “Take it All”, Lost and Found explores how Dave and Carter’s relationship took root and blossomed.

As a standalone novella, Lost and Found features explicit adult m/m content, Daddy Kink, age gap as well as romantic elements. The book ends…well, let’s see how it ends, shall we?

Excerpt

“Please,” Carter begged, tears in his eyes. Desperate, that’s what he was. The schedules I’d given him worked most of the time. But he needed the physical contact.

I released his hair and cupped his jaw, fingers digging into his cheeks. “You crossed a line, boy. Now go sit on the couch and think about what you’ve done before I do something I’ll regret.”

There it was again, that daring glimmer in his eyes. His hands almost touched the thick bulge I sported, but he knew better. He receded, never breaking eye contact while I nodded and praised him, “Good boy.”

It took another fifteen minutes to clean up the kitchen and cool down. I felt sick thinking about what had just happened. Our kinky connection almost exposed because Carter loved to play with fire. He wasn’t an ordinary submissive. Not like the ones I’d read about online. He was cheeky as fuck. But there he sat, with his head bent and his hands resting on his thighs, waiting for me to come over.

“I am sorry, Daddy,” he whispered when I rounded the couch and stood in front of him.

“Look at me.”

Staring up at me from the couch, he worried his bottom lip, chewing the right side of it until it was raw and swollen. I hated that habit.

“Stop biting your lip,” I ordered and brushed my thumb over it. The moment we connected, Carter’s eyes slid closed, and the tension seemed to flow from him. It’s what he needed, my touch, my affection.

“I’m sorry,” he murmured when I dipped my thumb into his mouth, pulling his lower lip down.

“You gonna make it up to Daddy?” Arousal was beating rage into submission, shutting off my brain. I needed to punish him as much as he needed me to do it. He’d won.

I made him undo my jeans. Which he did with such enthusiasm, I almost forgot the way he’d behaved. Next, he pulled down my briefs, letting my pulsing erection jut free. He tried to catch it with his mouth, but first it slid over his cheek, a string of precum landing there. I’d never seen anything sexier.

I moaned at the way he worked me into his mouth. That tight and warm heat. That goddamn tongue teasing me. I placed my hands on the back of his head, helping him to take in more. I’d never had someone suck my cock like they fucking loved it. Until Carter did exactly that. He slurped and moaned, his hands at the back of my thighs pulling me in deeper. He was going wild, bobbing and pumping and making my knees shake. I freed my balls while he went at it, blinking up with those big brown eyes, glazed with lust.

“You’re doing so good,” I rasped, “make it up to Daddy.”

His nose nuzzled my pubes, and my balls drew up tight, the tension spiking to new heights, ready to burst. But I didn’t let him finish me. Instead, I yanked him off, eliciting a surprised cry when I spun him around on the couch so his body splayed out on top of it. Carter scrambled, waving his ass at me as though it were my prize. Which it was. But he had to learn he couldn’t risk what we had. Not like that.

Without even undoing his loose-hanging jeans, I tore them down his legs. Another yelp. His underwear and pants pooled around his knees. Gazing over his shoulder with his bare ass on display, I straddled him, my wet cock bouncing with the movement, hanging out of my undone jeans. Carter tried to prop up onto his elbows, but I pinned him down, one hand slamming between his shoulder blades.

“Stay, boy!” I hissed and rubbed my free hand over the globes of his perfect ass. I’d never seen an ass like that, so round and taut and just…yeah, perfect.

Then, the spanking began.

We first meet Carter and Dave in the short story Take It All where we see how the pair gets together. I really enjoyed it although it’s not necessary to read it to enjoy Lost & Found.

Carter is half Dave’s age and sets up the Daddy role which is given a twist as Carter knows Dave’s actual son!

We catch up with the pair after the events of Lost & Found, and their story unfolds over a long chunk of time but in a small amount of story which left me a little disconnected with them. Because this is a novella, it’s understandably hard to fit so much story and depth to the relationship in. Also, with only one character’s POV, it’s hard to know what the other character is feeling and the overall relationship. Dave gives Carter structure in his daily life and tries to be a good Daddy, and I loved Carter’s youthful exuberance – like a Labrador pup!

If you’re after a quick read with a flavour of Daddy Kink, then you’ll enjoy Lost & Found.

A neglected resort, a lost chance at love, and one last chance to renew forever.

Frankie and Tommy once dreamed of traveling the world together. But when seventeen-year-old Frank kissed Tom, their plans ended with a punch to the jaw and Frank leaving town without looking back. Thirty years later, Frank’s successful career as a journalist is interrupted by his uncle’s death and the question of his inheritance—the family resort where his childhood dreams were built. When he returns to the Pocono Mountains, however, he finds a dilapidated lodge and Tommy, the boy he never forgot.

Tom’s been keeping the resort together with spit and glue while caring for Frank’s uncle, Robert—a man he considered father, mentor, and friend—and his aged mother, who he refuses to leave behind. Now Robert is gone, taking Tom’s job with him. And Frank is on the doorstep, wanting to know why Tom is still there and why the old lodge is falling apart.

But before they can rebuild the resort, they’ll have to rebuild their friendship. Only then can they renew the forever they planned all those years ago.

aa7e2-fullsizeoutput_622This is the first series I’ve read by this author but it definitely won’t be my last. This isn’t a romance story as I would expect but a story of love that survives over the years despite the hurdles Frank & Tommy create and the distance they put between themselves. It’s not fluffy, grand gestures but real life I love you with a few obstacles thrown in Frank & Tommy’s path, including two stubborn men & one who lets his pride get in the way. I love the way the resort – a little unloved & in need of repair – mirrors the rebuilding of their relationship  Their story was heartbreaking in places for ‘what could have been’ and the years the spent apart. A great read, a great series. I can’t wait for the next book to be released.

Excerpt

Seth and Malakei meet for the first time

Malakei had gotten a text from Lena that she’d be coming in with High Stakes and family soon. He could barely hold in his excitement about seeing Seth Davies up close.Dang.

“Focus, M.” Malakei mentally checked himself and stood up when he heard the door open. He had to keep this as business because he wasn’t sure what to expect. However, Malakei had a hard time, knowing the fine guitarist was only feet away from his grasp.

“Malakei? We’re here.”

Malakei took another deep breath, then stood up. Making his way toward them, he glanced at everyone who appeared to be starstruck.

“Hello there. High Stakes and family, I presume. It’s so good to meet you.”

Lena cleared her throat. “Um, Malakei, from the left is Morty, the bassist, his girlfriend, Gina. Gio, and his mother, Theresa, and Seth along with his mother, Ethel.”

All of them said hi, and Malakei made sure he started with Morty, before greeting Seth and his mother. He kissed all the ladies’ hands and shook the band members’ hands as a gentlemanly display. The women blushed, apparently in awe.

Though Malakei didn’t spend that much time holding Seth’s hand, the feel of it wasn’t lost on him. As expected, it was rough, calloused, prickly around the tips from playing his guitar without a pick or even tape. He was a hard rocker through and through, not concerned with protecting the skin. Seth exuded rock and roll because in the minds of people like him, hard music meant sacrifice.

Other than the texture of Seth’s palms, Malakei couldn’t help but notice the outfit. Seth wore black jeans again and this time a classic Metallica T-shirt. Both hugged his lanky body like a glove, and as with most metal musicians he’d known of, they didn’t care for heavy coats. Seth wore a small leather jacket full of buttons on both lapels. Yes, he looked every bit of the part of the quintessential metalhead.

“Gods, you are even more handsome in person.” Ethel smiled at him.

“Um, thank you.” He chuckled. “And you, young lady have a very talented son. Along with his friends, I think we could help them be something special.” Malakei tried keeping his tone even. Out the corner of his eye, he could see Seth was actually at a loss for words.

“Um, yeah, Malakei,” Seth said. He held out his hand again and bowed his head slightly. “Thanks again for this opportunity. I’m totally gobsmacked you’ve asked us to play for you.”

Malakei accepted it again and gripped it firmly. “No, it is my honor. Can we offer you all something to drink? Coffee, tea, water, or soda?”

“Water for me, thank you.” Ethel spoke up first.

“Same with me,” Gina said, as did Gio’s mother.

“I’ll take soda,” Morty said.

“Me too,” added Gio.

Seth grinned at Malakei again. “Do you mind if I be different and ask for coffee? I’m a little drained and need to wake up.”

Malakei wished to follow that up with a snide remark, but he kept it to himself. “Of course. Lena, please grab refreshments while I show the ladies and gentlemen around the studio.”

Lena smiled at Malakei and walked out.

Push features Malakei the infamous rapper who grew up in the hood of Detroit and falls in love with Seth – a struggling British heavy metal artist. Malakei is deeply closeted, he barely drinks, & doesn’t do drugs. Yet, he falls completely and irrevocably for Seth. Malakei ends up changing his life for the partying rocker that drinks excessively, smokes, and basically is everything Malakei isn’t. It’s definitely a story of complete opposites attract. But the way the two get together is done well. And in the bedroom, these men burn up the sheets!

Of course, the pair struggle due to Malakei producing Seth’s music, and how they think the world will react if anyone discovers the truth that they are together.

This story contains so much more than just romance. It deals with struggling friends, homophobia, someone targeting them, and of course the fear of coming out.

Push is a well-written story that is entertaining, romantic and a whole lot of hot and steamy.
