Honeymoon for One is a gay romance by Keira Andrews featuring a May/December age difference, a slow burn of newfound friends to lovers, first-time m/m sex, and of course a happy ending.
I’m a huge fan of Keira Andrews’ books and this one was no exception. My heart ached for Ethan as the beginning of his story was heart breaking. I’ve never wanted to knock characters heads together so much.
That being said this was a slow burn romance and the fact that Ethan is late-deafened brings a unique twist to the character & how difficult life can be. It broke my heart to see all his insecurities laid bare, and Ethan has had a rough time of it, but I was glad to see him finally become more confident with the love and understanding of Clay.
I loved all the Aussie references & slang which brought a touch of humour to the story too along with some serious issues, and I even learned some things about cricket!
I’d recommend this book to those who love a slow burn romance and the May to December trope which Keira does so well. There isn’t a Keira Andrews book I wouldn’t recommend so if you’ve never read one she’s an author I would highly recommend.
